At the Inlay, all our work is grounded in audience research—we really try to understand the mindset of the end user of every product, and create something that works for them. In the early stages, companies are often pitching their story to investors much more than to end users, and they can sometimes lose the forest in the trees. The earlier a company is able to not only understand their audience (not just as a demo/market segment but their actual psychology and behavior and the culture in which they live), the faster they can connect and grow.
